Users of all equipment from the ANSIR Portable Instrument Component will be required to have sufficient insurance to cover loss or damage, before the equipment will be released. The Certificate of Insurance must cover Replacement Cost + 10 per cent

Borrowers are responsible for all transport costs from the Facility in Canberra to the point of use. Equipment condition Equipment will be supplied by the facility in clean, field-ready condition and is expected to be returned in a comparable condition. Borrowers will be responsible for any consequent repair and cleaning costs.

Access to ANSIR Reflection Component
  • ANSIR will endeavour to arrange reflection experiments to suit the needs of the project.

  • Each seismic reflection survey is unique, in its goals, survey parameters, logistics, permitting and licensing requirements and consequent equipment requirements

  • Because of this variability no simple costing formula can be applied; each survey has to be costed individually

  • Prospective users of the seismic reflection component should therefore contact the ANSIR Deputy Director, Dr B. Goleby (bruce.goleby@ga.gov.au) for a specific estimate of mobilisation and survey costs tailored to their requirements.
